The HK USC is a civilian utility carbine that uses the classic hard-hitting .45 ACP cartridge. Matched with a simple and ultra-reliable blowback operating system, the HK USC is a radical departure from traditional firearms designs. Extensive use of durable, tough, corrosion proof, reinforced polymers found on HK's line of military and police arms ensures lightweight and durability and the highest grade of weapons steel is used in the cold hammer forged target barrel and the solidly constructed bolt mechanism. The skeletonized buttstock is capped with a comfortable rubber cheek rest and recoil pad. The web of the pistol grip is open for a comfortable handhold for a wide range of shooting applications. Hard points located on the top and sides of the receiver and handguard make attachment of optional Picatinny rails easy allowing almost any kind of accessory to be mounted. Features ambidextrous safety/selector lever and oversized trigger guard for easy operation while wearing gloves. Includes a polymer 10rd magazine.

I bought this as a representative artifact of the early 2000's AWB, but it is an excellent PCC in its own right.
The USC is what one would expect from HK; a very thoroughly engineered, reliable, and accurate firearm. Comes standard with an extremely sophisticated soft case, full of pouches and slots and such, even some molle on the exterior. Comes with two HK 10rd magazines, a lock, an excellent paper manual, and a very complete HK multiple function tool.
I did my transfer through my Friendly Neighborhood Gun Store/Range, and immediately ran a box of 50 standard 230gr FMJ through the USC on the 25 meter range. Sights were dead on from the factory, shooting a 3" group standing unsupported, without any special effort.
Prepper included a bag of Gummis, very appropriate for a German firearm! Shipping was super speedy, price was outstanding, and service was perfect.
