I just learned about the P17 a few weeks ago and decided to buy one. I'm really glad I did. It's lightweight, reliable and a surprisingly good trigger. Zero failures so far after about 500 rounds. Ordering from Prepper Gun Shop was by far the smoothest and quickest gun order I've ever placed. Great communication and fast response to a question I had. I'll always shop here first. 6-stars!

The price was right so I bought it, Prepper Sales Rep guided me along the way to getting a new FFL and verified the address for me to make sure the pistol got to the right destination and I appreciated that very much as well.. FYI to any convenient to the 77471 area code, my FFL was easy and pleasant to do business with, "Erwin Loesch" who was chosen from the Prepper list of FFL's to ship to turned out to be a Gem.. He will be my FFL from this point on, you can bet on it..

I brought one online & when I got to the store it shipped to & I opened it up, I thought that there had to be some mistake- the gun (at 1st) felt like a toy or airsoft gun- it's that light- less than a pound, fully loaded.. Then the mags- all light plastic, like a toy gun- they do give you 3 of them though. But, upon loading it (which is very easy) & taking it to the range- I'm pleasantly surprised & even very impressed!! It took every type & weight of ammo I threw at it & not a single fail after 500+ rounds!! I obviously took it apart (which couldn't be simpler- at least as far as you can go without some pretty extensive knowledge) & oiled it up well beforehand & during the range time, but that's quite impressive for ANY gun!! Another HUGE plus for me is it's mostly for my wife who has M. S., & because I work nights & she's home alone, a .22 is perfect (plus it holds 17 rounds per mag!!). If she can fully operate the gun- literally, almost ANYONE can do it- I'm sooo pleased with it!! Kudos to the engineers that worked on this one- absolutely brilliant design & one of a kind gun!! I haven't been a huge fan of Kel-tec, although I have owned a few models & never really had any complaints, other than they're usually kinda ugly but not this one!! For $200, you won't find anything close in accuracy, design, ease of use & a nice little plinker, carry or even backup pistol!!

This gun is so light it feels like a toy. But then don't all KelTecs? Little larger than I thought.

I have one of these and love, love, love it. Thinking about getting another one. Really fun to shot, the only thing that I will say is that a lot of people complained about these when they first came out saying that they would always jam up, but I have never had a problem with mine. Then one day I was reading where someone did have problem, and it was said to fix their problem, they were to load about 6 or 7 rounds then tap the mag on the back side on a table top or the palm of your hand, because that would line up the rounds in the mag correctly. Which I have always did when loading any mag, I thought that it would help and I guess after reading the problems and the way it was corrected maybe I was doing the right thing all along. You will not regret buying one of these and I would also bet that you may get another one having it for awhile. I also want to get me a PMC 30 Which is a Kel-Tec 30 round 22 mag. I have a friend that just bought one and he said that it is just a fun if not more shooting that then his P17 , But he said that he loves them both.
