Well, I really don't feel particularly good about this review. This is one of the very few sites to have had this particular rifle in stock at a reasonable price in these scarce times, but it did come with some caveats.
To start, customer service:
The shop was prompt, friendly, & even handed out some free merch. There was a neato little sticker of the logo, a letter-sized poster with their theme listing the basic gun safety principles, & they provided the serial early alongside several notices both in email & in the actual box that you should verify the purchase before signing off with your FFL. Best experience I've had with a shop in my few purchases so far. As described in the next section, there was an issue with the rifle which I tried to contact them for after getting it home, & I got no response. I didn't necessarily expect any gibs or anything, but some dialogue would've been nice since everything else was really top notch.
Next, the firearm:
While I haven't had the opportunity to shoot the thing yet, as it's my first of the calibre, a swift inspection & general handling has revealed no defects nor issues save for one thing: the sights. Upon my gleeful attempt to remove the lackluster ones that come on the thing & put on a decent Techsight GI style, I stripped that Torx head bolt clean to the bottom -- surely, a result of overly soft steel, I thought. Long story short, I had to take it to a gunsmith to get it cut & knocked off because it was filled to the top with glue (standard Loctite type) & sent down as far as the threads would carry it.
In summary, this was a fine purchase insofar as I've had it thus far. The proof will be in the drills & training as to whether there are any other bungled matters of manufacture, but I can certainly foresee myself sniping any good deals I catch here in the future. I had to knock a point off for the lack of a response from the customer service, but I do understand that a minor matter such as this probably isn't at the top of their priorities.
